Hand painted silk scarves.

Holly studied at Norwich University of the Arts and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. Her botanical designs are loosely abstract, starting with freehand line work and then painting on to the silk, allowing the colours to bleed and mix according to the nature of the fabric. The result is vivid, unusual pieces that are completely unique examples of wearable art.

Her aesthetic is informed by the slow fashion movement and the concept of Wabi-sabi: nothing is finished, nothing lasts forever and nothing is perfect, but she creates the scarves with the hope that they will be worn and enjoyed for many years to come.
